MOUNT RINJANI TREKKING SUMMIT 4D/3N
Mount Rinjani Trekking 4 Days 3 Nights package starts from Sembalun Village to the summit, crater lake, hot spring, cave exploration, Senaru Crater Rim and finish at Senaru Village. This program is trekkers’ popular choice and suitable for beginner trekkers .
Duration : 4days and 3nights on Mount Rinjani +1night accommodation in Senaru before Trek (Totally 5days and 4nights)
Trekking route : Start Sembalun village -Finish Senaru village
ARRIVAL DAY 0:
The day you arrive at Lombok Airport, or any other ports in Lombok such as Lembar/ Bangsal harbor, Teluk Kodek or from any main tourist destination in Senggigi, Kuta Lombok, 3 Islands (Gilis Trawangan, Meno, Air).
You will be picked up by our logistic team and will be transported to our office at Senaru Village. Welcome drink and a local meal awaits you there. You will then be transferred to a hotel in Senaru. A briefing about the journey, trekking procedures and other preparations will be conducted by our qualified mountain guides. Feel free to ask them questions about your hike.
If you arrive one hour before sunset, you can visit Sindang Gile and Tiu Kelap Waterfalls the day before your journey starts for Mount Rinjani.
Note: You may arrive the same day for the trekking to Mount Rinjani. But we strongly recommend you to come the day before and spend the night at Senaru so there will be no delays.
DAY 1:
SENARU VILLAGE- SEMBALUN VILLAGE (1,150 m) – SEMBALUN CRATER RIM (2,639 m)
Wake up at 6.00am and get breakfast at 6.30am – 6.40am. After breakfast, our pick up trucks will transport you to Sembalun Village, the journey will take about 45 mins to 1 hour.
We will arrive at the Rinjani Information Center (1,051 m) at about 8.00 am for registration and will start our walk to Pos 1 Pemantauan (1,300 m), walking time is about 2 hours. We take a rest for 10 minutes at Pos 1 Pemantauan, and then continue to Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m), the journey will take about 1 hour.
We will take a short break here for 10 minutes at Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m), and then we continue our journey to Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m), walking time is approximately 1 hour.
We will rest for 2 hours at Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m) for lunch, Your guides and porters will prepare for lunch, and hot beverages will be served. After lunch and rest, we will be heading to Sembalun Crater Rim Pelawangan Sembalun (2,639 m), walking time is about 3 hours including a prolonged steep climb.
The tents will be set up by our porters and will be ready before you reach the camp site.
We will camp for the night at Sembalun Crater Rim. From here, you can enjoy the awesome views at all angles and the Mount Rinjani’s summit can be seen on a clear day. Don’t forget to catch the sunset, Segara Anak Lake, Sembalun Village and half of north Lombok Island can be seen from here.
DAY 2:
SEMBALUN CRATER RIM (2,639 m) – SUMMIT ( 3,726 m) – SEGARA ANAK LAKE AND HOT SPRINGS (2,008 m)
Wake up call at 2.30 am and light breakfast will be served. Our guides will conduct a short briefing and will start the hike to the Mount Rinjani Summit at 03:00 am (3,726 m).
The hike to the summit is approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes. The first stage is a moderate climb for 120 minutes, while the second stage is a fairly easy but a long trek. The last hour is very steep and difficult. (The ground is actually loose volcanic gravels and stones, and as you take two steps forward you will slip one step back. Do bring along hiking poles, they can be handy.)
From the Summit, you can see all of Lombok Island, Bali Island, Sumbawa and Segara Anak Lake. After sunrise we will go down to the Sembalun Crater Rim camp site and have breakfast prepared by our porters.
After breakfast and rest, we will hike down to the Segara Anak Lake and hot spring. The trail down is steep and slippery, therefore be firm on your steps and pay extra care when you are descending.
It will take us 3 hours to get to the crater lake and hot spring. Lunch will be served by the lake. The hot spring is just 100 meters walk from the lake. Soak in the hot spring to ease those tired muscles and some claimed that it has healing powers too. We will camp by the lake for the night and dinner will be served on schedule.
DAY 3:
SEGARA ANAK LAKE AND HOT SPRINGS (2,008 m) – SENARU CRATER RIM (2,641 m)
We will leave from the lake after lunch time and go up to the Crater Rim of Senaru. The journey will take 3 hours, it is a steep climb and the trails are full of small gravels and rocks.
From the hills, you will be able to see Mount Rinjani and the crater lake from a different angle. You can enjoy the incredible sunset over the Mount Agung in Bali and witness the continuous smoke from the new volcano. We will camp here for the night and your dinner will be prepared.
DAY 4:
SENARU CRATER RIM (2,641 m) – SENARU VILLAGE (601 m).
After breakfast, we will go down to Senaru Village, it will take us 4-5 hours to reach the village. In between Pos 2 or Pos Extra, lunch will be served. We will arrive at Senaru Rinjani Trekking Centre at about 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm. You can opt to go to our office for a quick shower before we transport you to your next destination (Gili Island, Senggigi, Mataram or Lombok International Airport).
